Problem with rmail command in emacs on Ultrix Vax
I am trying to use the rmail command in emacs on a Unix Vax to read my
mail at home. My email is forwarded to a MacIvory where it is spooled
to an inbox, mail.text.
When I dial up and ftp the inbox file to the Vax and then try rmail, the
file is parsed as one large message rather than the many messages it
should be. This does not happen though if I ftp and read one of my
mail archive files (in BABYL format).
Thanks
Larry Baum

Here is the what my mail.text file looks like (assuming all the
characters make it thru the net):

I've been working with a system called Express Windows. I've been using
it on Sun and Symbolics workstations. As part of the process of getting
the system up and running using X windows, I had to make additions to
the Symbolics namespace objects for the hosts I was using. I am passing
on the changes I made for your information.
For any workstation (Sun or Symbolics) which will be a remote X Server
for a client located remotely on a Symbolics, this service should be
added:
Service: X-WINDOW-SYSTEM TCP X-WINDOW-SYSTEM
For any Symbolics which is both the client and server for the same
application (i.e, both running on the same host), also add this service:
Service: X-WINDOW-SYSTEM LOCAL LOCAL-X-WINDOW-SYSTEM

I asked this same question when the ads for the Mirror monitors
first started appearing and received no responses (probably too
early for anyone to have gotten one). So, I would be grateful if
you could pass on any comments you receive. Thanks.

You have NOT used every object in the game.
What is the standard weapon against a vampire?
What object did you fail to get in the church?
Operate the cross (found in church; it opens the secret
passage to the big spider) on the demon.

Well, I'm not adverse to having a Happy Hour tonight, only I'm fresh out
of ideas for places to go. If you want to contribute your $0.02 worth
let us all know.
BTW, there is a fun band at the Owl Cafe this weekend, The Atlantics.
Let me know if you're interested in going either tonight or Saturday.
Ciao,
Steve

I don't have any suggestions, since I don't know any places in the
area, but I do have a request to go someplace not too far away and
easy to find so that I can make my first happy hour. Any suggestions
which fit these constraints?

How 'bout an early edition (4:30) at Barnaby's over in Factoria. That's
pretty close, so most folks should be able to stop off for a bit.
What say the masses?

P.S. Looks like there's some interest in meeting later tonight (8:30,
9:00) at the Owl Cafe in Ballard to listen to The Atlantics (kinda
jazzy, rock; Lot's of Sex, er uh, I mean Sax, as in Saxophone; Great
Dancing music). Any other takers? Let me know so we'll look for you!

In case any of you were wondering why you haven't gotten any Boeing mail for
the last few days.......
Recently a certain ATC employee transferred to Everett. When she did, she
submitted a "change of mailstop" request, intending to have her personal mail
forwarded to Everett. The mail room actually changed the entire 7L-68 mailstop,
as if our entire organization had moved to Everett.
So, said employee's new group in Everett has been inundated over the last few
days with all of the ATC 7L-68 Boeing mail, addressed to people they don't
know. Fun way to break in your new group, don't you think?
Hopefully the problem has been corrected, and more hopefully, all of our lost
mail will find its way back to the ATC. (I talked to the lead in the mail room,
and he says the mailstop change has been canceled.)

Did anyone respond to your query? I would be interested in finding out
what they said. I ordered one and it should be ready to ship next week some-
time. They will then call and confirm the order. I'd like to have some feedback
before then from other people. (BTW, it's about a 3-4 week delay til delivery)
If nobody has responded, drop me a line anyway and I'll tell you what I think
of mine once it gets in.
