software/hardware available at SLUG90

    Will both ivory-based and 36xx machines be available in the hacking room? Will
    they be running Genera 7, 8, or both? Is more information coming soon?

Hi John,

Here's the planned machine availability at SLUG90:

MACHINES:

Symbolics is providing 4 machines, to be used as follows:

an1 XL12000, 1running Genera 8.0,0 to be used by Symbolics as well as by users who 
want to try it out.    Scheduling of usage will be done by
Kim Cook (Symbolics).

a1 MACIVORY0, 1running Genera 8.0,0to be used by Symbolics to demonstrate
Concordia and the bug tracking system.  Scheduling of usage will be done
by Kim Cook (Symbolics).

an 1XL4000, 1running Genera 8.0, 0to be used for SLUG registration, user demos,
user tape trades.   Scheduling of usage will be done by Joe Karnicky
(SLUG).

a 136500, 1running Genera 7.2, 0to be used for third party vendor demos.
Scheduling of usage will be done by Joe Karnicky (SLUG).


HOURS:

The machine room will be open and Symbolics people will
be on hand to assist during the following times:
(some of the times are approximate)
MON  noon => ~7:30
TUE  8:30 => 6:00
WED  1:00 => ~9:00
THU  8:30 => 6:00
FRI  1:00 => 4:00

The "official" third party vendor demos on the 3650 will be scheduled for
WED 3:00 => 5:00 
THU 12:30 => 5:00 
During the other hours in which the machine room is open, time will be
made available on the 3650 for vendors to make, save, and try out their
worlds.
