    Yipes!!!  Any tagged computer architecture in which all-ones is a valid
    datum scares me.  (Likewise all-zeroes.)

Well, at least the all-zeroes case is invalid, at least on the 3600
series; a zero tag results in the infamous "Error: The word #<DTP-NULL
...> was read from location ...."
