In System 78.56, ZMail 38.5, microcode 849, on Lisp Machine Eighteen: if c-s is Extended String Search, c-s c-s gets ``minibuffer entered recursively'' which is reasonable except that something gets deselected or something and anyway the whostate goes to NIL and you generally lose.
