Your color problem has to do with the way the MacIvory ships the bit
planes to the mac.  To conserve memory, It does not nominally store
all the bit planes for de-exposed windows.  There are two fixes:
1) Do a function refresh after you switch back to your color window.
2) Reconfigure the mac Genera application to save all the bit planes.

The second solution will slow screen output, and two mouse cursors will appear
on the screen, (a fast one with a slow one following).  See "Basic Color
