Is there any way to dynamically resize an AV pane such that,
when a string is being input, the user doesn't have to type off the
side?  I have three objections to the default behavior:  1) once it
starts scrolling, if the user scrolls back (using input-editing
Ctrl-A) to the left, the pane doesn't refresh properly; 2) not all
users know emacs input-editing commands, and we can't expect to teach
our users that; and 3) after the input is complete, the user then only
sees the left portion of the string -- granted, this would always
happen with long enough strings, but I'd like it to resize for strings
that wouldn't require unreasonably large windows to fit.
