I have placed a new release of Common Music on ccrma-ftp.stanford.edu
(36.49.0.93) and guido.zkm.de (192.101.28.17) in the file
pub/cm.tar.Z. Common Music is a public domain music composition
language implemented in Common Lisp and CLOS that outputs music
(directly or through scorefiles) to a variety of synthesis packages,
such as the Music Kit, Common Lisp Music, MIDI, CSound, etc.
The main new pieces of functionality are a composition editor
(currently non graphic) called Stella that supports both algorithmic
and editorial styles of composition, and a full port of Common Music
to the Macintosh under Macintosh Common Lisp 2.0 (final).
Common Music runs on the following machine/lisp combinations:
NeXT 2.1, 3.0 ACL 3.1.2, AKCL 1.615
SGI Iris IRIX 4.0 ACL 4.1 (beta)
Macintosh System 7 MCL 2.0 (final)
Sun 4 4.1 AKCL 6.15
There is a tutorial about composing using Stella located in the file
stella/tutorial/stella-tutorial.rtf
For more information, see README and README-MCL
