MCL and the PowerPC

This is a question to the MCL developers:

  I am thinking of upgrading my mac at home to a quadra and
  was wondering whether I should not wait for the PowerPC.

  The 1,000,000$ question is:

    Will MCL and its compiler be ready when the first PowerPCs ship?

    What worries me is MCL's dependence to LAP. Will LAP be
    extended to generate binary code other than 68000 code or will
    MCL be made LAP free?
