TCP/IP Starting Point

Looks like I'm going to have to write several Mac TCP/IP routines to talk with
a VAX or Amdahl (sp?) somewhere.  Though these will be in C (a prejudice of
corporate America), I know a lot of folks here use TCP/IP.  I thought y'all
might recommend a good reference/starting point for learning TCP/IP, especially
the Mac implementation.
