Is there an MCL UDP wrapper anywhere?

Hi -

	I am trying to send a video stream across the network in MCL.  
Unfortunately, MacTCP is vvvvveeeeeerrrrrrryyyyy  ssssllllloooooowwww.
I have been getting about 1 frame/second across an ethernet connection 
of about 10 feet, so I'm looking for ways to speed up performance.  
Would UDP be worth the effort?  Especially if I have to roll-my-own 
wrapper, I want to be sure that it will be worth the trouble.  Any 
experiences?  Is there a pre-existing wrapper anywhere that I could try 
out?  Any other suggestions?
