    I tried out xscheme 0.17 (thanks, all, for posting, repairing,
    and setting up an ftp source!!!).  There are several differences
    in the class/object system, but I can't evaluate them, since
    I don't use that system (yet).

    BUT -- the save / restore bug is NOT FIXED  :-(  boo hoo

    out the logic analyzer.
