You can use the Tex fonts (in .PXL mode) as device (eg, LGP2) fonts I believe. The first two SLUG Library tapes includes a Symbolics Pascal-based TEX (Slitex, etc) with a full set of 80dpi and 300dpi fonts. If you have those fonts elsewhere you may be able to read it with FED::READ-PXL-FILE.
