IP-TCP ... incomplete implementation
Before this arrived yesterday, we dug out the IP spec and the NFS spec.
NFS essentially treats the size as an implementation issue. The IP spec
(as you said) puts a 576 byte limit. This could be DEC's fault since we've
been unable to force either our Suns or HPs to give us the same problem.
We are running Ultrix 2.2 on the machine that gives us the problem.
It would seem like a quick and dirty patch would enable to up the size
on the symbolics. Is this a valid supposition? If we were to do it, got
a hint as to where to look?
Thanks very much for your prompt attention and help.
