   Good luck!  I've been down this road before and symbolics doesn't let
   out their disk formatting software (unless they've drastically changed
   policy recently).  So, symbolics users have to pay double for their
   disks.  symbolics ought to get out of the hardware business.

in a previous life, i purchased several discs from third-party sources
(at a considerable savings over symbolics prices, something like half-price)
and had symbolics format and install them.  i do not remember the cost of
installation, but i do remember that it was VERY reasonable.  check w/your ce.
