And, of course, having this code for Release 7.2 doesn't help any of
us who are still running Release 6.1, does it?  

Why don't I upgrade to 7.2?  Believe me, you don't want to hear THAT
story...I could buy a couple of Next machines for what Symbolics
charged me to upgrade, and I still can't run 7.2.  And, given experience
of other sites with it on 3640's, it isn't clear I would want to.
