empty lmfd 18% full?

    I just purged (on purpose) ALL files from the lmfs of a machine I
    inherited. I wa surprised to find that with NO FILES AT ALL the
    lmfs was 18% full (lmfs was about 5200 blocks total). Is this to
    be expected, or is this strange?

Did you delete the directories as well?

Have you done a Salvage recently?
