It is true that some vendors (e.g., Franz Allegro) are quickly making much of the capability of the Symbolics Development environment available on SUN and other platforms. Due to high maintenance cost, I know of several groups that are phasing over to SUN for their lisp work. It is already preferable to deliver a "product" on SUN's but the development is still smoother on Symbolics. Ian
