Any 3650/Fujitsu Eagle users out there?

As a true glutten for punishment, here's another one...
I picked up a Fujitsu "Eagle" 474 meg SMD drive at an
auction last year ( I originally tried an Adaptec
SCSI to SMD interface to run it on my Amiga, but although
it was seeking about, I couldn't get it to read write there)
and I'd like to get it going with the 3650. Can anyone
give any tips on this procedure? Unfortunately I don't
have a printout of the badblocks, so maybe I have an
incredibly huge immobile doorstop in the rack...
    Thanks for any suggestions...
(PS I have all the docs for the drive...except bb list)

When we upgraded our file server here from a 3600 to a 3650 four years
ago, we were told that 3650's don't support Eagles. I don't know
whether this was a hardware, firmware, or software incompatibility. If
it's hardware, I haven't heard of an ECO that corrected it; if it's
firmware or software, it's possible that recent releases are compatible,
but I never heard about it.

I think you may be able to get the bad block list from Fujitsu. I think
you can call them, give them the serial number, and they'll look it up
in their files. There's no software on the Lispm to generate the bad
block list automatically.

Once you have the bad block list, though, you still have the problem of
turning that into an IFS tape. The software to do this is not part of
the standardly-available Symbolics software. We once got it as a
special, though; ask your sales rep about the "Disk Tools" software.
